Morichal Trading is the paper trading company founded by wiki/entities/thierry. It holds a 50% stake in the wiki/entities/b2bpaper venture, representing the domain expertise side of the partnership (the other 50% is held by wiki/entities/deploystaff, wiki/entities/rafael's technology company).

Morichal Trading is not just a passive investor. It is the domain vehicle for the partnership, providing:

• 15+ years of paper trading experience -- deep understanding of surplus markets, pricing dynamics, and trading customs
• Existing mill relationships -- direct access to European paper mills for MVP onboarding
• Buyer network -- established contacts with converters, traders, and end-users
• Industry credibility -- the trust that makes mills willing to share surplus data with a new platform

Platform Operator

Morichal Trading handles the admin side of the platform:

• Monitoring surplus ingestion and matching quality
• Configuring geographic visibility rules per mill
• Managing mill and buyer relationships
• Tracking transactions and commissions
• Quality control on AI-parsed surplus data

Trust Anchor

The wiki/concepts/three-pillars framework identifies Trust as one of three pillars in every paper transaction. Morichal's established reputation in the industry is what backs the platform's credibility. Mills share their surplus data because they trust Morichal, not because they trust a website.

Relationship to Zero-Friction Pattern

Morichal's operational knowledge directly informed the wiki/concepts/zero-friction-mill-pattern. Thierry knows that mills use Excel spreadsheets and email because that is what he has been receiving from them for 15+ years. The platform was designed around this reality, not against it.
